On one of our classic Milanese Mondays Valeria and Camilla opened the doors of DEL CARLO to us. We immediately breathed in the craftsmanship of the product, how could we miss the opportunity?
But we must forget the chaos of Milan for a moment and move our minds to the Tuscan hinterland. In fact, DEL CARLO is a footwear atelier founded in Lucca in 1997. Here, in the heart of Tuscany, the company was born and the production structure is still located here, which they wanted to keep internal to guarantee the products the quality and craftsmanship that has always distinguished them.
100% Italian company with an international spirit. The shoes are handmade by artisans from Lucca and then worn all over the world. From Japan to the United States, passing through Northern Europe, Russia and everywhere there are people who love the elegance of our style and the comfort and refinement of our materials.
Thanks to the essential style and experience of the master craftsmen, they manage to create high-quality and unique footwear, capable of accompanying anyone who wears them in every moment of their life. Customers often trust that they are still using DEL CARLO models purchased 20 years earlier. There is a lot of the brand's mission in this: to build footwear with a timeless style and quality that lasts a lifetime.
Each model combines the creativity of stylists with the experience of master craftsmen. Obsessive attention in planning, creativity and personality of design, passion for manufacturing, choice of the best leathers: these are the typical and distinctive elements at the heart of the DEL CARLO brand.
On Monday we understood that there are three characteristics that make these shoes so special:
- The manufacturing of the upper. The shoes are characterized by artisanal and unique workmanship such as: the San Crispino stitching on the sole, the heel covered in one piece with the upper of the shoe, the raw cuts of the leather interpreted in various solutions.
- An essential line. The footwear has a timeless style, with essential, sober and elegant lines. Accessories are used tastefully and kept to a minimum.
- Invisible comfort. A comfort that is there and felt but not seen. It cannot be seen because it is hidden by the style and elegance of the footwear and by a skilful use of materials and shapes. From Poron which gives softness, to para which makes footwear flexible and comfortable at any time of the day.
